Hello 👋 this is me starting my journey into aesthetics. There’s lots to do but I thought I would begin with a little story.
Once upon a time (about 14 years ago) there was a head-strong beauty school drop out… well actually she was kicked out of the preppy beauty school for being wild and not conforming to the idealist beauty standards. She wanted to be bright , she wanted to be bold but without having to wear a full face of thick heavy makeup with eyeliner, lip liner and hairspray everyday (this was whilst having to prepare, feed and ferry a tiny baby around to nursery and a 3 year old to school) Anyway, the skills she had picked up (facials, waxing, anatomy, the science of skincare) she kept with her, she just didn’t get the certificate.
Realising she was now free to do as she pleased, the beauty school drop out (let’s just call her Katie, to keep it simple) decided that it was a sales & marketing route she would take next in order to learn how to plug her brand, write good content, blog, design websites. She even wrote a blog about finding a job which lead into a career in recruitment.
After recruiting supply teachers at 7am til 6pm everyday she started to think the money wasn’t worth it , she missed her babies and a beauty career was still what she wanted. So in 2017, 7 years after being kicked out of beauty school she dyed her hair purple got a beautiful little fluffy puppy and trained & qualified in classic lashes, then volume lashes, lashlifts, brows, facials and that was that! Purple Katie became Lashes by Katie.
In 2020 she moved to Wilmslow, set up all over again with new clients (and a few clients who still travel 45 mins to see her) and in 2025 Katie decided to expand on her facials and go into Microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning and B12.

I love making my clients feel great and now can make them look younger and brighter and even more sparkly than before.
